Dr Alexander Lim
Director Clinical Governance and Strategy

FRANZCP

Dr Lim is co-founding owner and Director of Zed3 Medical Group. He is a Consultant Psychiatrist and and expert in Psychotraumatology. He has been instrumental in driving the group’s growth and expansion of services and programs. Dr Lim is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Queensland where his main area of research interest is in ‘Next Step Treatments’ where conventional psychotherapeutics have failed to produce functional gain. His experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist and educator along with his interest in providing positive patient care coupled with innovation, collaboration and research leaves him well placed to lead the clinical activities of the Zed3 Medical Group.

Daniel is a co-founding owner and Director of Zed3 Medical Group. He is an experienced executive manager and solutions-oriented leader with a proven capability to extract meaningful and actionable insights from complex data. Daniel has worked across multiple industries and applies his technical modelling skills and tactical thinking to oversee the strategic direction and expansion of the Zed3 Group.

Martyn O’Connor
Director People and Finance

Martyn is a co-founding owner and Director of the Zed3 Medical Group. He has almost 20 years’ experience in asset analysis and management, financial structuring, contract negotiation and purchase strategies. He has established and built numerous successful businesses in the Canberra region across professional and financial services and the property industry.

Martyn is responsible for financial governance, reporting, and strategic planning within the Zed3 Medical Group. His business acumen and personal interest in the mental health sector means that he has a vested interested in contributing to and creating successful outcomes across the Group

Sally Shepherd
Executive - Head of Operations

Sally has been involved with ZedThree Specialist Centre and Zed3 Medical Group since their inception. She has extensive experience across the corporate and philanthropic sector, having previously worked at the Macquarie Group Foundation for more than a decade.

Sally has a strong focus on business performance and culture and is dedicated to delivering an exceptional patient experience across the Zed3 Medical Group. She has overall responsibility for the day to day operations of the Zed3 Medical Group and its subsidiaries including, communications & marketing, infrastructure, recruitment and group policies.

Ross Calear
Executive - Head of Psychology

B.App, Psych GradDip, Psych MAPS

Ross is a Registered Psychologist. His work experience includes working with victims of crime, perpetrators of crime, people with major mental illness, and in crisis support situations.

Ross is interested in working with people who are having difficulty with: anxiety, depression, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), relationship issues, workplace stress and coping, hallucinations, delusions, and Bipolar Disorder. He uses evidence based therapies including; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Schema therapy. Ross is a current provider for the Mental Health Referral Network for the Australian Institute of Sport

Ross is passionate about his work and highly respects people who are working towards positive psychological change. He works toward bringing energy and respectful curiosity into each session. Ross’ philosophy of practice is to work ‘with people’ and not ‘on patients’.

He is available for appointments on Tuesday – Friday, both in person and via tele health.

David is empathetic and highly experienced nurse practitioner with two decades of experience across a variety of primary and tertiary healthcare settings, including specialties such as general practice, mental health, drug and alcohol, ophthalmology, and oncology. David is also dedicated to teaching and furthering the profession of nursing with experience working as clinical trainer, university tutor and as a professional mentor. He enjoys working collaboratively with clients and their team, to provide high-quality, evidenced based healthcare to improve the management of chronic and complex conditions and help people live better lives.

Vicki is a highly experienced health administrator with a deep understanding of military and veteran services. As a former MECRB Clerk and partner of a Veteran, she brings valuable insights to the Group. Vicki is highly involved in the Veteran Services programs delivered by Zed3 Medical Group.

Cherie Clark
Provisional Psychologist and Senior Clinical Assistant

Cherie is a provisional psychologist in the final year of her Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Canberra. She has experience working with individuals across the lifespan in several settings, including private practice, university clinics, and headspace. She enjoys working with a broad range of clinical presentations; her main areas of interest include depression, anxiety, stress management, emotion regulation, relationships, body image, life transitions and adjustment. Cherie is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and draws on techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Schema Therapy in session. She is a warm and empathic clinician, who takes a person-centred approach to therapy and values collaboration to help clients achieve their goals.

Cherie is available to see clients on Thursdays and Fridays. She also works two days a week as a Senior Clinical Assistant within Zed3 Veteran Services.

Aimee Davies
Clinical Assistant

Aimee is a current Master’s degree student of Counselling at Excelsia College. She is also an ASCA qualified teacher of Speech and Communication, having spent 5 years teaching in the NSW education system. With many years of teaching and educational support experience, Aimee has developed strong skills in assisting students across age groups dealing with challenges like anxiety, neurodevelopmental disorders, depression, stress and trauma. She has provided individual counselling at university clinics to clients managing interpersonal issues and mental health needs.

Aimee has a wide range of professional and practicum experience working with child, adolescent, and adult clients in both individual and group settings.

Dr Rachelle Dawson
Clinical Psychologist and Research Associate

BA (Hons. Psychology), PhD, Clin Psych.

Rachelle is a Clinical Psychologist and Research Associate. As a Research Associate, Rachelle is involved in a range of research activities within the areas of PTSD, Veterans’ mental health, and transdiagnostic treatment approaches.

As a Psychologist, Rachelle takes an integrative approach to therapy, meaning she draws from a range of interventions and theoretical frameworks depending on an individual’s goals and current challenges. Her primary approach to therapy is through the lens of psychodynamic self psychology, which is a depth-oriented and relational-focused therapy. She has also been trained in, and draws from, cognitive behavioural therapies (CBT, DBT-skills, ACT), schema therapy and EMDR.

Rachelle’s passion is within understanding each individual in their own unique way. She values the opportunity to hear people’s stories, help them gain a deeper understanding about themselves and their relationships, and find ways to create meaningful change. Rachelle works with adults experiencing a range of concerns and life challenges. She has particular experience and interests in: trauma (including childhood/complex trauma, PTSD, dissociation), depression, anxiety-related difficulties (generalised anxiety, phobias, OCD), psychosis, relationship difficulties, issues concerning sex and intimacy, and body image and eating difficulties.

Rachelle undertakes research on Tuesdays. She practices psychotherapy on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Kellie is a Provisional Psychologist who attained her Master of Professional Psychology at La Trobe University. Kellie has a range of professional experience, including private practice psychology, the education system, and corporate training. As a Provisional Psychologist, Kellie has experience working with adults and young people experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, grief, and interpersonal difficulties.

Kellie works as a telehealth Clinical Assistant at Zed3 Veteran Services.

Anna is a Provisional Psychologist currently completing her Master of Clinical Psychology at the Australian National University. Her research is focussed on the impacts of parental narcissism on family functioning and children’s mental health outcomes. Anna has previously completed Bachelor’s and Honours degrees in Psychology at The University of Auckland.

As a Provisional Psychologist, Anna has experience working with adults and children experiencing a range of mental health conditions including Depression, Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Insomnia Disorder, specific phobias, and Panic Disorder.

Dr Feng Foo
Consultant Paediatrician and Adolescent Clinician

Dr Foo’s books are currently closed.

Dr Foo is a General Paediatrician who has worked extensively with young children and adolescent patients in both hospitals and private practice. She provides comprehensive and attentive care to her patients. Dr Foo is a former Marie Bashir Research Fellow in Adolescent Medicine and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

Jaimee Forster
Registered Psychologist / Veteran Services Team Leader

Jaimee is a warm, empathetic and enthusiastic Registered Psychologist who completed her Masters of Clinical Psychology at the Australian National University. Jaimee holds three roles at ZedThree Specialist Centre. The first is the treatment of children and adults experiencing mental distress, with a specific interest in helping children under the age of 12 years. Jaimee’s priority is to create a safe and collaborative environment for her clients using a variety of therapeutic modalities.

The second role Jaimee holds is assessing children and adults for learning difficulties (e.g., dyslexia, dysgraphia), giftedness, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Lastly, Jaimee is team leader for Zed3 Veteran Services, overseeing the work of the Clinical Assistants and communicating with external parties regarding Zed3’s completion of DVA claims.

National Manager

Michele is a knowledgeable manager with experience in the health sector in both clinical and administrative settings. She has been a Registered Nurse for more than four decades with the majority of those working in the mental health. She is skilled in the development, implementation and management of policies and procedures. Michele has worked in numerous hospital settings and most recently as Director of Clinical Services at Calvary Bruce Private Hospital. She is passionate about and committed to providing excellent and safe patient care. Lives by the motto “See the possibilities – you can’t hurt your eyes looking on the bright side”.

Rani is a registered psychologist, and completed her Masters of Clinical Psychology at the Australian National University. She aims to create a safe and collaborative space and therapeutic relationship for clients to explore their experiences and emotions, and gain a greater understanding of themselves.

Rani has experience working with children, young people, and adults, and is particularly interested in working with people experiencing anxiety, depression, and stress.

Alexander is a Provisional Psychologist currently completing his Master’s of Professional Psychology through the Cairnmillar Institute. He has a Bachelor’s of Psychological Science from the University of New England and a Graduate Diploma of Psychology (Advanced) from the University of Adelaide.

Alexander has experience working in domestic violence prevention and the child protection system where he worked with a range of families from various walks of life. He also has experience working in remote communities and would like to incorporate an aspect of remote mental health into his internship year.

Alexander works as a Clinical Assistant in the Veteran Services team.

Katie is a compassionate Provisional Psychologist, holding a Master of Professional Psychology from Macquarie University. She completed her Honours in Psychology at the University of Southern Queensland, focusing her research on the influence of personality traits and cognitive flexibility on job search self-efficacy.

Katie has gained experience across diverse professional environments, including corporate services, not-for-profit organisations, and occupational rehabilitation. She has provided mental health support both in-person and via telehealth, employing a person-centered approach and utilising evidence-based therapeutic techniques. Katie has worked with clients facing a broad spectrum of issues, including depression, stress, anxiety, trauma, workplace challenges, interpersonal difficulties, adjustment disorder, and hoarding disorder.

Katie works as a Clinical Assistant within Zed3 Veteran Services.

Jonathon is a Clinical Psychologist who completed his Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of New England. Jonathon has worked in a range of community services and mental health settings and has experience providing assessment and psychological therapy to children, young people and adults.

Jonathon draws techniques from cognitive and behavioural therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to help people to overcome barriers and build the life that they want to live. He has assisted children and adults with a range of presentations, including stress, anxiety, phobias, trauma, depression, and challenging behaviours.

Jonathan is compassionate towards those facing medical difficulties. He has an interest in helping people with distress associated with pain, neurological problems, functional neurological disorder (FND), other health difficulties and medical trauma. He has a warm and empathic approach and is dedicated to high-quality service.

Jonathon is available for appointments from Monday to Thursday.

Lisa Hansen
Registered Psychologist

Lisa is a Registered Psychologist, in the Clinical Registrar program. She completed her clinical training at the ANU and is currently completing her PhD.

Her PhD research is in the area of Schizophrenia and Schizoaffective Disorders.
Lisa’s clinical expertise is in working with children who present with a range of behavioural, emotional and social development concerns including oppositional behaviour, anger, aggression and conduct problems. In addition, Lisa can provide help to children and young adolescents with anxiety disorders, stress related symptoms, interpersonal and family problems, depression and phobias.
She is experienced at providing assessments and interventions for children and adults with learning disorders, cognitive deficits, personality disorders, ADHD and gifted assessments.

Lisa has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Australian National University, with Honours in Psychology and a Graduate Diploma in Management from the Australian Graduate School of Management.

Lisa is available for appointments on Wednesdays and Thursdays

Isabelle is a Provisional Psychologist who is currently completing her Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Southern Queensland. She has previously completed her Master of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Griffith University and her Honours in Psychology at the Australian National University.

Isabelle has worked as a counsellor in the fields of sexual assault and domestic and family violence. She has provided counselling to women, men and children who presented with a range of presentations including anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder, and interpersonal difficulties. Isabelle has an empathic and respectful nature and operates from a trauma-informed approach.

Ella has a range of experience working across different settings such as schools, clinical research and university clinics. This involved working with a range of presentations such as anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, behavioural challenges and autism spectrum disorder.

Aleena is a Provisional Psychologist currently completing her Master of Professional Psychology at the University of New England. She completed her Honours in Psychological Science at Griffith University, investigating risk and protective factors for suicide. During Honours, she volunteered as a crisis intervener for those experiencing suicidal distress. She then worked as a child safety officer supporting children, young people, and their families to ensure safety, well-being and belonging. She has also worked as a research assistant for the Australian Institute for Suicide Research and Prevention and the Queensland Suicide Register. Aleena is also the partner of a veteran.

Amy Nicholas
Clinical Assistant

Amy is a qualified and experienced social worker, holding a Bachelor of Social Work & Diploma of Counselling from Charles Darwin University. Based in the Northern Territory, Amy draws on a breadth of practice experience in a range of complex settings including domestic and sexual violence, remote youth services and perinatal mental health.

Currently, Amy is undertaking a postgraduate certificate in Traumatic Stress through the Trauma Research Foundation. She is also a 2023 Churchill Fellowship recipient, her research focusing on best practices in the prevention of vicarious trauma.

Cody is a Registered Psychologist who completed his Masters in Clinical Psychology at the Institute of Social Neuroscience in Melbourne. Cody is a warm, empathetic, and passionate practitioner, who has experience working with individuals of all ages treating a range of presentations including trauma, depression, anxiety, interpersonal difficulties, adjustment issues and grief. Cody prioritises creating a relationship of trust and collaboration with his clients to develop an in-depth understanding of each individual’s circumstance. Samantha is a Provisional Psychologist currently completing her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Flinders University. She completed her Honours in Psychology at Flinders University, exploring the relationship between viewing idealised fitness content on TikTok and young women’s body image. Samantha has previously worked for the Department for Education as wellbeing Student Support Officer and as a group counselling facilitator in a clinical trial of therapeutic approaches to aid smoking cessation in adults. Samantha has experience working with a variety of individuals and presentations, including anxiety, depression, substance use, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder.

Mariah is a Registered Psychotherapist who has most recently attained a Masters of Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Adelaide. Her academic background includes the completion of a Bachelors in Psychological Science, specialising in criminology.

Mariah has a range of professional experience in diverse environments, including the fields of aged care, tertiary institutions and within the education system. Her experience extends to psychological presentations such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief and crisis intervention.

Rebecca is a registered and experienced Psychotherapist who holds a Master’s in Mental Health Psychotherapy from the University of Queensland. She also obtained a Bachelor of Behavioural Studies from Swinburne University of Technology.

Rebecca is skilled in a range of therapeutic approaches and has professional experience working in diverse environments including domestic and family violence, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, and higher education within the private tertiary system. She has worked with adults treating a range of presentations including dual diagnosis alcohol and substance dependency and mental health issues, complex trauma and mood disturbances, relationship issues, self-development, and stress management. Additionally, Rebecca has experience as a facilitator of psychosocial and therapeutic groups.

Kathleen is a Provisional Psychologist completing her Master of Clinical Neuropsychology at Macquarie University. Her focus is assisting individuals in understanding how cognitive skills like thinking, memory and concentration are due to medical, genetic, neurological or psychological causes. She completed her Psychology Honours degree at the University of New England, where her research examined a relationship between how life experience buffers cognitive decline in later life. Kathleen has broad experience working remotely and in person with diverse and vulnerable people, including those in a mental health crisis. Her work is trauma-informed, and her family has extensive military service history.

Carla is a passionate and dedicated nurse with almost two decades of experience in healthcare in a variety of medical settings including surgical and medical, theatre, stem cell collection, women’s health, antenatal, birth and postnatal, general practice, immunisations, and more recently involved within the Ketamine program at ZedThree. Currently, she is broadening her education and studying a postgraduate in communities and mental health. She has vast experience dealing with a broader range of medical conditions and brings forth the ability to thoroughly and accurately assess the health and well-being of patients. She is adaptable to working as a collaborative team member for ZedThree to ensure that patients receive the highest level of care possible.

Kristel is a provisional psychologist who completed her Graduate Diploma of Professional Psychology at the University of Wollongong. Kristel is a warm, non-judgemental and adaptable clinician, who is passionate about seeing her clients thrive in life. She has experience working with children, adolescents and adults in private practice and community settings, and works with a range of presenting issues and challenges. These include; anxiety, depression, grief, interpersonal difficulties, negative body image and low self-esteem. In addition, Kristel triages clients presenting with risk, and provides crisis intervention when necessary. Kristel’s therapeutic approach focuses on creating an inclusive and collaborative space, in order for her clients to feel safe and heard.

Alexa is completing a Master’s in Counselling at University of New England and has previously worked as a mental health and paediatric nurse. Currently, the research Alexa is involved in explores somatic therapy for clients experiencing trauma.

Offering a calm, nonjudgmental and empathic space Alexa has experience in the domestic violence sphere with families and children as well as adults experiencing psychological and mood disorders. She has a passion for mindfulness and meditation and has experience facilitating adults, children and groups.

Victoria Thomas
Registered Psychologist

Currently on leave until 2024

Victoria is a Registered Psychologist. She completed her clinical training at the ANU, where she continues to study toward a PhD. Her research looks at moral injury experiences in a range of occupational settings.

Victoria works with adults who are experiencing a broad range of concerns and life challenges. These include (but are not limited to) depression, anxiety, trauma (PTSD, complex trauma, loss), health concerns, workplace stress and coping, eating problems, interpersonal and family difficulties and life transitions. Victoria is trained in a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

Victoria is committed to providing a safe and collaborative space in her therapeutic work, and operates under the principles of trauma-informed care. She recognises the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship, and approaches all client work with a spirit of warmth, curiosity and respect.

Emma is a Provisional Psychologist who has completed her Master of Professional Psychology at the Macquarie University. She previously completed her Graduate Diploma of Psychology Advanced and Graduate Diploma of Psychology at Monash University.

Emma has worked as a grief and loss counsellor, where she provided counselling to clients across the life span, with a range of presentations. She also has experience working in the occupational rehabilitation and corporate well-being consulting spaces, where she primarily worked with clients who presented with anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder, and interpersonal difficulties. Emma has a warm and empathetic nature and advocates for a client-centered, trauma-informed approach to care.

Dr Graham came to medicine following a successful career in Defence which included two tours of Afghanistan. He is passionate about social justice, trauma, Veteran and First Responder mental health.
