Rachelle works at Zed3 Medical Group as a clinical psychologist, clinical supervisor and research associate. She has 7+ years’ experience as a psychologist, and over 10 years’ experience within mental health research and teaching.
Rachelle’s passion in psychotherapy is within understanding each individual in their own unique way, helping them gain a deeper understanding about themselves and their relationships, and supporting them to create meaningful change. She works with adults and has expertise in trauma (including childhood/complex trauma, PTSD, dissociation), anxiety-related difficulties(including generalised anxiety, phobias, OCD), interpersonal difficulties (relationships, sex and intimacy), addictions, and eating disorders.
Rachelle describes her therapeutic style as compassionate, collaborative, experiential and depth-oriented. She primarily practices from a relational psychodynamic approach, and has also been trained in somatic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and EMDR. Rachelle additionally provides clinical supervision to provisional psychologists and clinical psychology registrars.
In her research role at Zed3, Rachelle contributes to projects within veterans’ mental health, precision medicine, and infusion therapy. She collaborates with researchers at the University of Queensland.
