Cathy Buttignol

As a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia, Cathy brings over 20 years of dedicated experience in the counselling profession and more than 30 years in the education sector. Currently, Cathy provides clinical supervision to counsellors working in schools across Australia, and to Masters-level students at Deakin University. She also has a commitment to supporting veterans. Cathy's approach focuses on creating a safe, understanding environment where veterans can process their experiences, and rebuild their lives with the dignity and support they truly deserve.Cathy's professional philosophy is deeply rooted in authenticity and continuous growth. She is passionate about ‘walking the talk’– consistently practicing what she preaches, remaining committed to professional development, and building strong, meaningful relationships characterised by genuine care and connection.
