Dr Alexander Lim
Director Clinical Governance and Strategy

FRANZCP

Dr Lim is co-founding owner and director of Zed3 Medical Group. He is a consultant psychiatrist and expert in psychotraumatology. Dr. Lim is a member of the Committee of Military, Veterans and First Responder Mental Health Network of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. He is the spokesperson for the College on this subject matter. He has been instrumental in driving the group’s growth and expansion of services and programs. Dr Lim’s research interest lies is in next step treatments where conventional psychotherapeutics have failed to produce functional gain. His experience as a consultant psychiatrist and educator along with his interest in providing positive patient care coupled with innovation, collaboration and research leaves him well placed to lead the clinical activities of the Zed3 Medical Group.

Dr Lim’s books are closed to new patients for ongoing psychiatric care.

Ross Calear
Executive - Head of Psychology

B.App, Psych GradDip, Psych MAPS

Ross is a registered psychologist. His work experience includes working with victims of crime, perpetrators of crime, people with major mental illness, and in crisis support situations.

Ross is interested in working with people who are having difficulty with anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), relationship issues, workplace stress and coping, hallucinations, delusions, and bipolar disorder. He uses evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and schema therapy. Ross is a current provider for the Mental Health Referral Network for the Australian Institute of Sport

Ross is passionate about his work and highly respects people who are working towards positive psychological change. He works toward bringing energy and respectful curiosity into each session. Ross’ philosophy of practice is to work ‘with people’ and not ‘on patients’.

Ross is available for appointments on Tuesday-Friday, both in person and via telehealth.

Jaimee Forster
Executive - Veteran Services National Manager and Registered Psychologist

Jaimee is a warm, empathetic and experienced clinical psychology registrar who completed her Masters of Clinical Psychology at the Australian National University.

Jaimee is a member of the Zed3 Executive Leadership Team, and is the national manager of Zed3 Veteran Services. Jaimee manages and supports the Zed3 team of clinical claims specialists who are based both in Canberra and around Australia. She oversees the service and aims for all veterans to leave their interactions with the Zed3 Veteran Services team feeling heard and valued. Jaimee also collaborates with external stakeholders including advocates, GPs, and psychiatrists.

Jaimee also works therapeutically in the Zed3 Specialist Centre with children and their parents experiencing mental distress. Jaimee’s priority is to create a safe and collaborative environment for her clients using a variety of therapeutic modalities, with a passion for attachment-based interventions. Jaimee is also trained in the Circle of Security (parenting) program.

Cherie Clark
Veteran Services Team Leader and Registered Psychologist

Cherie is a registered psychologist who completed her Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Canberra. She has experience working individuals across the lifespan in several settings, including private practice, community mental health, and non-profits. Cherie uses an empathic and collaborative approach that is grounded in evidence-based practice. She is an eclectic clinician, meaning she draws on skills and techniques from various modalities to tailor therapy to her clients’ specific problems, goals, and expectations. She enjoys working with a broad range of presentations; her main areas of interest include trauma, depression, anxiety, stress management, relationships, body image and eating concerns, grief and bereavement, life transitions and adjustment.

Cherie is available to see clients aged 16 and above on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Dr Rachelle Dawson
Clinical Psychologist and Research Associate

BA (Hons. Psychology), PhD, Clin Psych.

Rachelle is a clinical psychologist and research associate. As a research associate, Rachelle is involved in a range of research activities within the areas of PTSD, veterans’ mental health, and transdiagnostic treatment approaches.

As a psychologist, Rachelle takes an integrative approach to therapy, meaning she draws from a range of interventions and theoretical frameworks depending on an individual’s goals and current challenges. Her primary approach to therapy is through the lens of psychodynamic self psychology, which is a depth-oriented and relational-focused therapy. She has also been trained in, and draws from, cognitive behavioural therapies (CBT, DBT-skills, ACT), schema therapy and EMDR.

Rachelle’s passion is within understanding each individual in their own unique way. She values the opportunity to hear people’s stories, help them gain a deeper understanding about themselves and their relationships, and find ways to create meaningful change. Rachelle works with adults experiencing a range of concerns and life challenges. She has particular experience and interests in trauma (including childhood/complex trauma, PTSD, and dissociation), depression, anxiety-related difficulties (including generalised anxiety, phobias, OCD), psychosis, relationship difficulties, issues concerning sex and intimacy, and body image and eating difficulties.

Rachelle undertakes research on Tuesdays. She practices psychotherapy on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Anna Elisara
Veteran Services Team Leader and Registered Psychologist

Anna is a warm and empathic psychologist who completed her Master of Clinical Psychology at the Australian National University. Anna places great importance on the client-therapist relationship and strives to create a space for her clients that is safe, validating, and non-judgemental.

Anna is particularly interested in working with adults whose distress is traceable in some way to difficult childhood experiences (e.g., neglect, invalidation, abandonment). Anna has experience working with adults experiencing a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, panic disorder, and addiction. Anna primarily works within an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, or cognitive behaviour therapy framework, depending on the client’s needs.

Anna also thoroughly enjoys working with children of all ages and their parents, drawing from attachment research, Circle of Security parenting, and the Unified Protocol for Children (UP-C). In her work with children, Anna aims to help them increase their confidence and their ability to self-regulate, and to help parents to identify and meet their children’s emotional needs and scaffold their emotional development.

Dr Feng Foo
Consultant Paediatrician and Adolescent Clinician

Dr Foo’s books are currently closed.

Dr Foo is a general paediatrician who has worked extensively with young children and adolescent patients in both hospitals and private practice. She provides comprehensive and attentive care to her patients. Dr Foo is a former Marie Bashir research fellow in adolescent medicine and is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

Olivia Gibbons
Practice Manager

Liv is a strong leader with outstanding interpersonal communication and organisational skills. She is responsible for the day to day running of the Specialist Centre, leading the admin team and providing support to the clinicians. She has a personal interest in the mental health sector and aims to provide everyone who has contact with Zed3 with a positive and pleasant experience.

Jonathon Hancock
Clinical Psychologist

MPsych MAPS

Jonathon is a Clinical Psychologist who completed his Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of New England. Jonathon has worked in a range of community services and mental health settings and has experience providing assessment and psychological therapy to children, young people and adults.

Jonathon draws techniques from cognitive and behavioural therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to help people to overcome barriers and build the life that they want to live. He has assisted children and adults with a range of presentations, including stress, anxiety, phobias, trauma, depression, and challenging behaviours.

Jonathan is compassionate towards those facing medical difficulties. He has an interest in helping people with distress associated with pain, neurological problems, functional neurological disorder (FND), other health difficulties and medical trauma. He has a warm and empathic approach and is dedicated to high-quality service.

Jonathon is available for appointments from Monday to Thursday.

Lisa Hansen
Registered Psychologist

Lisa is a Registered Psychologist, in the Clinical Registrar program. She completed her clinical training at the ANU and is currently completing her PhD.

Her PhD research is in the area of Schizophrenia and Schizoaffective Disorders.
Lisa’s clinical expertise is in working with children who present with a range of behavioural, emotional and social development concerns including oppositional behaviour, anger, aggression and conduct problems. In addition, Lisa can provide help to children and young adolescents with anxiety disorders, stress related symptoms, interpersonal and family problems, depression and phobias.
She is experienced at providing assessments and interventions for children and adults with learning disorders, cognitive deficits, personality disorders, ADHD and gifted assessments.

Lisa has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Australian National University, with Honours in Psychology and a Graduate Diploma in Management from the Australian Graduate School of Management.

Lisa is currently on extended leave whilst she completes her PhD.

Ella Kennedy
Registered Psychologist

Ella is a registered psychologist with a Master of Clinical Psychology from the University of Canberra. She has previously completed a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at Griffith University and her Honours in Psychological Science, investigating the effect of theory of mind on listening comprehension in children. 

Ella has a range of experience working across different settings such as schools, clinical research and university clinics. This involved working with a range of presentations such as anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, behavioural challenges and autism spectrum disorder. 

Ella is available to see clients in the Zed3 Specialist Centre on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Cass McGufficke
Brand and Engagement Coordinator

Cass has a Master of Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Melbourne and a Master of General and Applied Linguistics from The Australian National University. Focusing her studies and career on wellbeing literacy, she is passionate about positive communication about and for wellbeing. Cass has a strong background in communications for community, wellbeing, humanitarian, and advisory bodies at the local, national, and international levels. She coordinates a range of brand and engagement functions for Zed3 with a focus on clear, kind, and compassionate messaging within and outside the organisation.

Carla is a passionate and dedicated nurse with almost two decades of experience in healthcare in a variety of medical settings including surgical and medical, theatre, stem cell collection, women’s health, antenatal, birth and postnatal, general practice, immunisations, and more recently involved within the Ketamine program at ZedThree. Currently, she is broadening her education and studying a postgraduate in communities and mental health. She has vast experience dealing with a broader range of medical conditions and brings forth the ability to thoroughly and accurately assess the health and well-being of patients. She is adaptable to working as a collaborative team member for ZedThree to ensure that patients receive the highest level of care possible.

Ming is a Clinical Psychologist. He holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) and a Master of Psychology (Clinical) degree from James Cook University.
Ming has been working as a psychologist since 2012. Before relocating to Canberra, he worked in a private paediatric clinic alongside a team of paediatricians, occupational therapists, and speech pathologists. His areas of expertise include psychological assessments for children and adolescents, mental health, family-style counselling, work-related stress, psychological injuries, autism, ADHD, and intellectual disabilities. He is well versed in a wide variety of psychometric tests (e.g., WISC, WAIS, WIAT, ADOS-2, NEPSY, MMPI-2, Conners).

On weekdays, Ming works as a school psychologist (permanent full-time) at a large private Anglican School in Canberra. In his free time, Ming is finishing up his PhD studies at the University of Sydney. His area of research is in Human Cognition, specifically in the areas of Emotional Intelligence, working memory, and executive functioning.

Ming is approved by the Psychology Board of Australia to supervise provisional psychologists and HDR students (Principal & Secondary), as well as clinical registrars (Secondary)

Ming is available for appointments on Saturdays both in person and via telehealth.
